Hot colors for Musky at Kawartha lakes?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Hot colors for Musky at Kawartha lakes?

Post by Sof »

Just wondering if anyone who fishes the Kawartha lakes for musky can tell me of some colors that have been producing well. I going on a trip to one of the lakes (not sure which one yet) late next month, and don't know which lures/colors to bring. Some lures/colors catch more or less on some lakes etc, so I don't want to be switching lures often.

Thanks.

Hi SOF

My friend who has a cottage on Lovesic strongly believes that strawberry red is the best color. He encouraged me to put something on in that color last fall. I switched to a large believer with a strawberry colored stomach and immediately ( within 5 minutes) had a huge strike and broke off. We waited for about 5 minutes and up floated the believer with big marks on it.

Maybe this will help
