With regard to your pic's, don't give up.
I believe you can post from your C drive, but make sure the image size isn't too large. If you go into the photo gallery, there is an "upload" feature there. It took us a few tries to get it right, but it's worth it to be able to share your pic's.
Try again when you have some free time. I'd love to see the shots of the wood's you got, especially since you said they're good pic's!
