Bill Craig's Muskie Course

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bill Craig's Muskie Course

Post by RJ »

Hey Boys,

Ransome, Gordo and I attended Bill Craig's muskie course yesterday....What a day!...8 hours of muskie talk... :D ...he goes thru equipment...baits....forage...locations...trolling patterns..everything!...it was great....anyone looking to get into the great sport of muskie chasing should sit in for the day....you don't get alot of chances to talk to a guy who has been fishing the Ottawa River for muskies for 30 plus years...

I agree RJ, Bill is a great speaker and certainly knows his Muskie. I enrolled in his 5 week session last year and was very impressed. The part I liked best was trying to determine where the big fish were caught after watching the videos. If you are familar with the Arnprior and Constance Bay sections of the river, its easy to pick up landmarks along the shore.

Great speaker and great guy for sure...

I'm not one to let people tell me about what people are like...I'll be the judge of that...and to me Bill will be an asset in my fishing outings forever...definitely worth the $$$.... :D

Hey MM, I hear ya on the locations... ...scary thing is he had a picture of a monster skie....that I'm sure I've raised to my boat twice in the same spot...47 pounds... :x ...best part is she's probably still there! :D

Hey RJ, did Bill let the class raid his tacklebox at the end of the day? I got some sweet goodies off him last year.

RJ was right, absolutely great course!! Ive been out on 2 charters with him before and havent been let down...... and I know some spots now, that I would have never thought about fishing before going out onto the water with him!
The charters are great with bill because he is a good guy, who keeps talking and showing you little tricks here and there, and best part is he puts you onto fish!

Where was this and how do I find information on the next one? I started Musky fishing 2 years ago, and catch them 4 out of 5 outings needless to say I’m hooked.

July and Aug of course.

Bill's Muskie coarse runs a couple times a year and are held at West Carleton High School. Look in the Ottawa Carleton Continueing Education book that comes in the mail every few months. Look under Muskie Fishing. He has a one day like RJ attended or there is also a 5 week session that is two hours Wednesday evenings.

i've attended his course twice, well worth the $
i've also gone out with him twice.
if you go take note of the fish finder readings
i've bought a ton of tackle from bill.
his son craig is also a great muskie man himself
they were both at the carp show
i'm not sure who is sponsoring him this year?
check some old ont out of doors mags
there's a write up on bill from a few years back
