Fishing the great lakes

Post by Markus »

Just curious as to how many of the big ponds everyone has tried fishing.

I've fished Erie, Ontario and Huron. I'm hoping to try Superior this summer. Michigan will be a little tougher to to get to.

Hmmm i guess the BOQ doesn't count  I tell you guys the size of the rivers intimidated me the first time i saw them i think the great lakes would put me into shock

I don't see myself fishing them anytime soon but it's something i'm sure to try before i hang up my rods someday.

John, if the thought of being 15-20 miles off shore sounds crazy, you should see it when the waves pick up and the salmon are hitting so good you refuse to head in.

Great Lakes Fished

Post by Seaweed »

I have only fished two. Lake Ontario and Lake Huron... and both were trout fishing creekmouths with roebags for Steelhead. I don`t count the Bay of Qunite as a great lake although it is a great lake to fish.
