Tica spinning reels

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Tica spinning reels

has anyone tried or got a Tica spinning reel (Libra series) 10 bearings and all? Looks allot like the Matzuo that Crappy Tire has.

personally I think # of ballbearings do not reflect the quality or smoothness of a reel.after trying almost every thing out there, my formula is good brand =you get what-you pay for.without mentioning names the two top brands still rule.

I agree with fisher.

I've handled a nimber of off-brand reels with umpteen ball bearings over the years. Many of them looked quite flashy, too, with lots of gold accents and such.

Unfortunately, the quality was exactly related to the price.

Wobbly spinning reels with 10 BB that squeek when brand new?

Baitcasters that make grinding noises right out of the box?

And just imagine trying to get these things serviced...

Stick with the tried and proven. Don't be bamboozled by off-brands- my opinion only. :D
