Need a suggestion of where to fish this weekend.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Need a suggestion of where to fish this weekend.

Post by Xenos »

With a week left before walleye open, I’m at a loss of where to go. I first tried Kingston for Browns, then Green and Little green for specs. last week I hit Otter lake for bows. All I have caught so far is a cold.

Now with this weeks Nortel news, I need some good fishing. PLEASE HELP!!!!

try a few of the lakes near green, or try Arnprior for cats.

Hey Xenos...BASSSTALKER,

I put lots of hours in last week. I fished everywhere from Ottawa(proper) all over the Rideau and down to Prescott and as far east as Kingston.

The Perch and Crappie have been hit and miss....blahblahblah :)

Do you guys know if the cats are happening around Arnprior?

Slop.
If Winnipeg gets a hockey team, Toronto will want one too.....

Hopefully someone responds to my invitation by 7am, then I will respond to RJ. I’m not one to fish alone.

Hey RJ thanks a lot for the invite on the Ottawa, Karack and I had a great time. It took us quite awhile to find the fish, but once we did, we boated quite a few. I think I caught a dozen or so in the 4lb range.

Karack thanks for coming out, without you accepting my invite I wouldn’t have went fishing and Bacon, you need to work on that hook set.

Oh yes the Pic Ok here's one.

RJ and Xenos,

Would you mind sharing a few of the locations where you were able to find some of the cats. I have been having a devil of a time finding any out there on the river.

Thanks

Fox.

Xenos - Thanks for taking me out and showing me all of your fishing toys  Even though you totally kicked my butt I had a great time! I certainly appreciate the coaching and tips and next time I'll make a better accounting of myself

Forget about that Daiwa piece of crap, no harm no foul. The funny thing is that if I would have caught a damn fish I would have snapped it :( I guess the fishing Gods were having a little laugh at our expense :?

RJ and Bacon - Nice meeting you guys, hope to do it again sometime.

Karack

PS - Xenos, so does your wife still think that I'm a serial killer :?: :?:

Nice meeting you boys yesterday (Karak and Xenos)
Nice day on the water a few fish and some real excitment to end the day..
Two young lads dumped thier canoe and the search and rescue went looking. Thankfully a sailboat had picked them form the very cold water!
It's a good thing because I don't think you would have much time in that cold!!

Bacon - is that what all the commotion around the sailing club was about? Xenos and I heard all of the sirens and saw the lights, but we had no idea what was going on. Xenos was kinda hoping that his car was on fire, but that's another story

Ya...
There were fire trucks and cop cars..had to be a dozen of them....
two rescue boats and an ambulance!
Thankfully everyone was ok....parents don't let your kids out on the water this early!!!! Doesn't matter how well you can swim if its to cold to move!!
