The Lure - The Art

Post by McQ »

I am submitting a picture of a few treasures that were sent to me by an artisan and fellow fisherman from Quebec - Yvon Grise builds these little jewels from raw balsa and they are just too deadly not to share.

Image

From the tiniest 1" model for specks and crappie to the 3" walleye bait, they represent true craftsmanship and perfection from an amazing artist.

They'll get their first dunking on Thursday when I get to fish for land locked salmon ( Ouananiche ) and lake trout on Lake Memphramagog, then on the 20th when I head north for a week at a couple of lodges chasing trophy specks at one place and hit the walleye opener on the Gouin Reservoir.

These baits do have a proven following though, I am just being introduced to them now. Yvon has created a couple of patterns for me and I'm anxious to prove them out.
