This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Went fishing in Poole Creek behind Fringewood Business Park and caught 2 fish that i did not recognize.About 6-8 in. long with 3 little horns on each side along the top of head. I felt them and they were bony.
What are they.

WIG - you may be referring to Moulac which is the French version of Splake.

Here's a link to a horned headed chub which may be the answer http://www.rook.org/earl/bwca/nature/fish/nocomis.html

If I am not mistaken they gain those horns during their spawn???I used to catch them for bait puprs and it looked like the males would have horns this time of year. But for sure a creek chub!!

Actually thought Salmon was kidding because of his smily emoticon!...Hey McQ, that certainly is the varmit I was referring too in your link. For whatever reason, they referred to them as "Moulette". Whatever they are, they're as pesky as sunfish! Horned chub it is! Thanks!
