Skunked again on the walleye opener!

Its been a tradition of mine 5 years running

For some reason I can't catch them on opening day. No problem next time I go out or for the rest of the season, just the opener.

I caught everything but a walleye today, including a 4lb carp

It was a tough day today everywhere from what I hear. Kingman and I fished an area we know quite well and it only produced 2 walleye and 4 pike for us. One thing I did notice is that the water temperature is actually as much as 5 degrees cooler than it was last weekend and I’m not talking surface temperature, does this have an effect ????. I guess we will see what next week brings us hopefully the weather warms up.

All I can say is CMON WARM WEATHER!...brass monkey material today... :shock:

Warmer water too will help.... :D

This is why I say I hate early season Wallies, SOME may have success, but they usually seem few and far between.

May as well go after something biting :!: :lol:

But they'll start soon..after I'm back from Trout fishing :!: :roll: :lol: :lol:

same results here...6 of us out. no walleye, couple of pike, tons of largemouth and one case of frostbite. Typical opening day weather for the past several years eh?
