***After work Outting with the Wife!***

Post by Fishing 24/7 »

Well me and steph decided to hit a local lake for pike and smallies.

Forgot half of my lures because i wanted to travel LIGHT! :x

forgot the surface lures and the gulp sinking minnows.

both smallie magnets but what ever i wanted to get a big pike anyways.

we did get some smallies on the spinner baits AS usual! 8)

Then a small pike made its way onto a River rat!

The sun was setting and then my girl friend had the chance of her life.

The biggest pike she had Ever SEEN.

attempted to hit the northam perch patern.

it Hit hard. but the hook set was week. (not that im saying i would have done better)

she had a 1 minute fight and 3-4 gator spins later the pike had the last laugh.

but i saw the size and she saw the size.

she almost broke down in tears..... seriously. she missed her pb.

then i decided to start trolling cause they were fallowing the lure but not hitting.

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS. but what ever!

first run.

slow down jerk the white double colorado white northam... BANG! :D

a nice pike . not the size im looking for but that will have to do!

Image

we called it a night and left....

i think i was even more sad to see the face of steph losing that big pike.... :? :?

24/7 and steph

Awsome buddy!

You are very lucky! Having kids and all it isn't often my wife and I can get out. I treasure those times when we can.

Sorry about the pike but I think the time together is more valuable....

Good job and nice report!

quality fish, so stop your whinin', 24/7. you are spoiled.

seriously, too bad about the lost pb pike for your better half. there will be other chances...something to strive for. how big do you figure it was?

keep up the couple time; it's a great relationship builder to fish together. and a little friendly competition never hurt, either.8)

Nice smallie! Must be nice to have a lake that's open (season) for bass already.
