Rocks and Stumps on Newboro

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

We have fished Newboro,Indian, and Clear for over 10 years and the one and most serious rock formation we have observer and to be absolutely sure to avoid is just past and on the left of Goat Island as you enter Newboro from Clear Lake. 2 years ago we saw a cuddy aground on a reef that comes up very near the surface. He had to have a crane lift him off. Heard it cost him an arm and a leg.Other than that, be careful in the back of a lot of the bays.Would post a picture of the boat sitting on the ledge if I knew how to upload.

I know where that is......that's just stupidity.

The only place that sticks out in my mind is just starting to Loon. A few stumps and logs that are difficult to see.

If your not sure and want to be safe, 33 bucks will get you chart set 1513 from Kingston to Smiths Falls.
