Deep Cycle - TM battery

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Deep Cycle - TM battery

Post by CDF »

OK...looks like it's time for a new battery for the Trolling motor (24volts).

Any recommendations on brand name and where to buy?

Thanks,

Call total battery. Have had good luck with their products.
They also have a way to recondition old batteries. You may want to talk to someone.

Get the biggest you can as long as it is the right size (probably size 27).

Good luck.

Previous posting on this:

http://www.fish-hawk.net/phpBB-2.0.2/ph ... ht=battery

A couple of suggestions were:

Spiral wound (AGM) batteries
Group 31 Power Source batteries

I use a deep cycle from Total Battery. Seems to be good. I still run the 12 volt setup which I don't like. No place for the second battery though so I am stuck. Next boat will have 24 V which will allow me to run longer with a bigger electric.

Cheers,

Mike

Total Battery is a company, not a brand. But I know all the stuff they sell is top quality.

Tell them Bill Wiswell sent you (mind you I don't have any real pull), but they might knock off a penny or 2.

Good luck

You always have room for another battery, put it someplace else and run heavy cable, parralel hook two batteries, best buy them both at the same time. good luck

2 battery 24

Guys ... if you go to the web site and open the manual look at option 3 or 4 those are the 36vdc 3 battery including the crank and the 24vdc 2 battery including the crank. It want matter where you put the battery or unit and you can charge while you run the engine, pull the boat, and with 110 AC and charge all the batteries. www.stealthcharging.com
