Yak report!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Yak report!!

Post by Manny »

Hit Lake St-Louis on sunday, raised and dropped some nice muskies. Wonderful lake, always some nice pike in this lake, pads a report if the muskies are weary or we just can't stick them.

The nicest one...

Image

Monday found us on the Ottawa chasing toothies again. Had better luck with the muskies, raised a bunch and landed two, along with some token pike.

Few pics...

At sunset...

At moonrise, on a figure-8..

Dan, fresh from a weekend gigging in a country bar named Crazy Horse..

Nice pic...

Back at it next weekend.

Love it Manny! Peuwy Louie!! I used to fish from shore from Stewart Hall all the way east to Dorval back in the 80s... drinking and fishing my way down Lakeshore Boulevard!

Ahhh... thems were the days... get on the 211 (MTL City bus) stinking of fish and beer...

Thanks for the report Manny!

Congs!

Now I think I would be paddling back to shore if you caught that guy with me there.... I would be way to clumsy holding a fish in a yak let alone holding one in a boat. Kinda reminds me of the show coming on soon on Discovery Channel....Les Stroud is going into shark infested waters in a dingy and when the sharks get all excited he is puncturing the dingy and floating with the sharks....Just crazy.

Now the Crazy Horse.....Not like the old one at all  A guy I went to school with owns the new one though so I have to give it props!
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

OK thats some serious fish from a kayak ... i've been fishing from a kayak for a long time but I've never reeled in large fish like that ... caught some nice bass and small pike that actually pull the kayak a little but never hooked into ones lie this. Glad to see it ...

Thats it I'm going fishing tonight ... !!! Now where did I put that dynamite !!??

Love Crazy Horse, can't go wrong when a bar serves raw meats next to a hot stone, scallops the size of hockey pucks. Awesome vibe.

Almontefisher, sharks soon, this fall hopefully.

Thanks for the comments. We were thinking that musky fishing would be more efficient in a boat but crazier in a yak. Starting to think that the first guess is not all that precise, lot's of lost angles are compensated elsewhere.

manny those skies you guys have been catching are just plain crazy..you rocks boys. 8)

and no the size off the boat dont make the fishermans.....i see the skie you guys caught just in the past year and a load off people fishing out off huge boats wont catch those.9porb) its fish off lifetime but its a few off those in one year imagine..so cool.

so its the angler in a floating vesel and the homework done and how mutch time a guy do on water that will do the work..and you guys did just that..your time on water your homework and now great resutl..

job very well done guys.

joco.ho yes..you got to love kayak fishing.

we will see more and more off them..people will see the benefit off this way off fishing.....its plain fun ..love it. :P
