I have caught a number of "blue pike" over the last few years. I have found that they predominantly inhabit the area around Sharbot L. and north of that area. I talked to the MNR in that are a few years back and the gentlemen there didn't know at the time what causes this to happen. There was an article in the Ontario Out of Doors magazine that discussed these fish that may shed some light. I also noticed that alot of the pike in this area are hybrid green and blue tinges on there sides. At any rate, they are a nice fish to catch.
