Weekend Fishin

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Weekend Fishin

Post by bradford2 »

It's been a while since I last posted any outings on Fish-Hawk. Things at our house have been quite busy since March...... when we had the arrival of our first baby. I know it's a fishing site.... but since I know a lot of people here personally I thought I'd throw up a few pics. Plus everyone loves baby pictures

Her name is Sarah and at 4.5 months she's already 16.5 pounds...... takes after her dad I guess :D

Lol she's got the salute down pat already too........

It's been crazy fun so far and I'm very much looking forward to the years to come......

Anyway the fishing time has been cut pretty far back compared to past years but I'm still doing ok. I got out a few times for spring crappie.... some lakers and carp and a couple bass trips...... so it's been pretty good. I'm definitely not complaining (in public)

With the past 4 day weekend I had, I was lucky enough to hit the water a few times.

Hit a new (to me) lake in QC looking for a few buckets. No.... not that lake

Anyway, had a farily tough fish but did find some largies hiding on trees.

After that it was a laker hunt. Jigged up 20 or so lakers.... most of them runts.... perfect for a fresh laker dinner. Did find a couple better ones... the larger one being my best so far this year.

The big one was suspended in 90 FOW......... never marked him, just jigging blindly. Got it on a 3/4oz buckshot.

Hit up a couple bass spots before leaving..... found a few fish offshore and also a giant sunny..... he was hungry hitting a 7" worm

And lastly I spent an hour on the Ottawa yesterday. Spent a long time waiting out the rain, short fish, then bailed when it got dark again. Crazy weather!

Got a couple fish flipping some grass........

So all in all it was a great weekend getting the boat wet. Nothing huge in the boat (except that sunny) but I've already said any fish is a good fish at this point

Gorgeous looking girl right there... the kid looks nice too!

:P :P

Cong on being a dad. I have three girls... So welcome to a life of reflux, high blood pressure and little sleep.

They tell me it is all worth it...

Maybe if they marry rich... ?

Just kidding! It is all rainbows and cracker jacks...

Loving the back to school commercials,

Craig

**EDIT**
That first pic really is priceless...

Looks like you got yourself the best of all keepers. Congrats. Nice lakers also.
All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.

Hey Brad,

Congrats on the beautiful daughter. Boys are great, but there's nothing like a Daddy's girl 8) :D . Keep the line wet when you are able!

Awesome report Brad. Love the lakers....

I take it the little one didn't like the photographer too much in this one. What made her "flip the bird"? LOL
