Rideau River at Eccolands Park Launch

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Rideau River at Eccolands Park Launch

Post by CDF »

Gonna try to get out tonight right after work. Looking to be on the water by 6pm.

Thinking of trying the Rideau at Eccolands Park launch. Close to home, so can get there relatively quickly.

Anyone fish this part of the Rideau? if so, any hot spots?

thanks,
Cman

I've never fished there, but apparantly a good spot is where the powerlines cross the river. (I think this tip is for that stretch of the river) I do know that people have been catching walleye in that area.
Good Luck!

North on Prince of Wales, right on HuntClub, right on Riverside (RiverRoad-where the new Petro Canada is).

Head South of River Road for about 2 minutes...turn into Gloucester Park. There is a launch at the end of the road. The park there is Eccolands park. Free parking and launch.

No fish tonight...got skunked.

I live off Earl Mulligan, so from my place about 15 minutes.
