Dad's First Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Dad's First Musky

Post by MuskieWannabe »

I haven't posted much this season as I have been taking people out and trying to get them onto fish rather than myself, and I'm not a huge fan of posting pictures of other people....My dad is an exception to that rule though.

We hit the water around 4:30pm and nailed a nice pike not long into the troll. Another one followed and trhen a missed fish. Near 7:40pm we finally had what we were looking for!

It was a pretty good fight but my old man brought her in like a champ. Not a bad way to get your first musky!

Wow. I wish my first muskie was this big. It was only 15" long :-)
Great fish and thanks for sharing.

WOW! Lemme guess... he's out looking for a Muskie Rod as we speak???

My first Musky was a 9lb'er on the troll near Petrie Island... I have been hooked on the species ever since!! It was such a crazy feeling to see stripes instead of spots that first time!
