Calabogie anybody????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Calabogie anybody????

Post by Seabass81 »

Thinking of going for a drive on sunday . There are a few Lake trout lakes that are open all year. Think its worth the drive ? I am affraid to get there to find ice to thin to stand.

Wabun lake is one of them on the list. I think my escape would make it alright.

Was out on a couple of Bogie lakes today 5-6" of ice the ones I was on. You will be good to go as long as you stay away from creeks and swampy parts
Good luck John

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

Made it out today! And the ice was great, and the trout where hungry!
For some,
Fishing is a hobby.

For others,
Fishing is a passion.

For a few,

Well thanks for the info guys. Made it out to a rainbow lake and caught 5 bows in 2 hours. Lost a pig at the hole that was close to 5lbs . The lake we where on had 5" of black ice in the area we where fishing.

Next week hopefully get into some more !
