Head Pond

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Yes, she did a bang-up job landing him too. We have pics (we actually have pics of most of the bigger fish we've caught this year, including my muskie) but since we're still using regular cameras we have to catch a few more before we can get the film developed.

In 3 more days they'll be coming fast and furious cuz we'll be back at Jan. One neat thing about this derby is the cross-species fishing: we're actual trying to arrange a day trip to one of the portage lake (Sahli) near Jan that has lakers. I've fished there for years and never once bothered to try it.

We're pretty sure that's where we were. We fished the tail of it mostly, next time we'll likely try the nose and side. We kept getting hits but couldn't connect - probably perch.
