well i broke three rods last spring bringing the ice shack back onto firm ground and they needed to be replaced so i whent to bits and bits and picked up 2 st.croix rods they are by far the best ice rod i have ever owned and are just great quality a little bit more pricy but deffeneitly worth the extra bux

It ranges Pete, depending what depth and what part of the river you're fishing...the hole I've been pounding has 6" of good ice, almontefisher wrote:You have been out already too Steve??? How much ice under your area???Steve P wrote:Get out there Chevy!!!....the eye bite has been awesome
The river is dangerous if you don't know it....I'm not saying that the ice is good to go everywhere around here...take a spud and check the thickness of ice you're on before venturing out too far!
