Twas the night before Christmas
And we are wistfully wishing...
For the ice's to get thicker
Almost ready for fishing
As I poured a good drink
and settled down in my chair
Oh the joy of the season!
Without worry!! No care!!
Then what should I hear
A sweet voice tenderly,
Twas my dear Wife, and
she had a message for me.
"Someone called here today"
(She couldn't hide her cheer)
"They said your order arrived!!
What did you buy me, my dear?"
"What time is it hun?"
I flashed a wide smile.
Yet I was worried inside,
"this could cost me a while!"
Jumped up from my chair,
Out the door in a flash
I started the car, and
grabbed a handful of cash.
Then up to Smiths Falls,
I drove all a flutter
My Eskimo arrived!!
"Darn taxes" I mutter!
But the Auger's a gem,
Viper motor, Quantum blade,
Its just what I needed!
Worth all that I paid!!
Driving slowly home,
I was thinking real hard.
How will I explain this?
Without getting tarred?
The dilemma was solved
When I drove by the mall,
Gift wrap it with her name!!
Now there's a good call!
Do you think she will like it?
A thought entered my head...
Since wifey don't ice fish...
GUESS I'LL USE IT INSTEAD!!
Merry Christmas everyone,
and
Happy New Gear!!
