Pike from above

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Pike from above

Post by Flooded »

Here's a photo I thought was interesting enough to share. This creature appeared under me the other day while out on the St. Lawrence.

Image

It drifted in, took off, and was then considerate enough to return three more times. That gave me enough time to frantically dig out my camera with one hand, and hold on tight to the rod in the other. Anyway, the pike was nice enough to not hit my lure while I was busy doing this. It just finned in place and didn't get any closer than about a foot away from my lure.

That little bright thing in front of the pike's snout is my Darter. This is all happening about 15 feet down. It's amazing what can be seen in the crystal clear waters of the St. Lawrence!

That`s awesome! It looked small until I put the size of the darter into perspective with the fish. Good job, keep em coming.

There is a rapture on the lonely shore;
There is society, where none intrudes;
By the deep sea, and music in its roar:
I love not man the less, but Nature more
