Petrie Island Walleye bite is on fire

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Petrie Island Walleye bite is on fire

Post by Gas Man »

Hey all Im pretty new to the site..thought i would give a report of my ice fishing experiences so far this winter..
Ive been fishing at petrie islands baitshop bay
The last few weeks ive been landing some nice eyes 16-23" some are pictured below.

Last night I was out got 4 smaller ones.... i was about ready to pack er in at 6pm and i mark some something big down below... let the minnow drop and wam... it nails it...long story short i end up losing it while fumbling for the light.... it was definately big.... couldnt sleep all night...

I got off work early today...headed back to the same spot same holes...same everything!!!

Caught a pike and a 13.5" walleye then around same time as yesterday she came back in from round 2!

I brought the hog in. definitely a personal best...!!!! Caught and live released!

WooHoo I love hunting Wallys!!!

heres a few pics of some of my catches so far this year and tonights' beauty
