Weeknight tourneys
Hey guys,
I'd like to see what everyone thinks about weeknight tournaments, seems to be very popular in the states.
Sign up bring 20$+5$ for big fish and the tournament would start at 6pm and end at 9:00pm.
Fished weighed with the same scale and bag..
I personally like the idea, short times, some of us work weekends and its affordable.
Over ten boats you award a prize for 2nd place, but under ten boat the pay out would be 1st place and big fish.
Your thoughts?

Edited my post to incorporate more details into this.
The Weeknight tournament.
1-12 inch minimum length from tip to tip.
2-If an undersized fish is brought in, a penalty of 1 pound will be enforced.
3-5 fish limit
4-Tournament time 6:00PM-9:30PM
5-You may fish alone or as a team (2).
6-Life jackets must be worn while main engine is on.
7-A Livewell or equivalent is required to participate
8-Artificial lures only!!
9-A fish must be able to swim away on its on to be "alive"
10-Dead fish do not qualify for Big Bass
11-When under power you may only have 5 fish in your live well.
12-There is a 1 pound penalty for each dead fish weighed in.
13-Any navigable waters are fair game you cannot get out of your boat to overcome any obstacle.
14-A 1 pound penalty will be issued for each minute your team is late.
15-All provincial and federal laws must be respected and followed.
16-In the event of a tie the money will be added together and then split.
17-You may not exchange any fish with another boat.
18-The director and weigh master have total authorization over the entire tournament and weigh-in procedure.
When you sign up you will be asked to sign some waivers, I don't want to be responsible for anyone and you will then be asked to draw your blast off number from a hat which I will then verify your livewell.

I can get a hat with numbers inside, boaters will draw their blast off number and we could start with meeting up near the ferry, right by the launch there's a flat that we can meet at.
I would meet at Rockland but it seems to get a lot of traffic seeing as the channel narrows there.

Re: Weeknight tourneys
Depending on where headquarters is I would be interested as well. I would launch at Petrie or Rockliffe so the Masson or Hull launch could work and maybe switch up the location every tournament. Will keep my eye open here in the next little while...

I'm down for a few of them for sure but only if they move around locations it would be hard to make the ones in town. If you set up some dates I can ask the boss aka wife lolShawnD wrote:Headquarters would be at Masson, my first post has been updated.

I like the idea as well, they're popular down in the GTA area too.
I'd be interested for kicks some night but getting me anywhere near the city ain't happenin'. Come west and I'll play!
