What's it worth????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

What's it worth????

Post by DV_8 »

Hi folks,

A friend of mine is selling an outboard motor. It's a 1985 Evinrude, 25 HP, long shaft, tiller drive. It has electric start and manual start. He says it's in mint condition, in his words he says "you could eat off the engine". Comes with tank and fuel line. Does anyone have an idea what it would sell for these days :?: Thanks.

Best guess, maybe $800.

Hey Bacon, that would be a real upgrade for your table. :P

I'd say more than $800. If you could get it for that, you'd be getting a pretty good deal.

I picked up a 1990 25hp merc from a marina for $1K cash a couple of years ago.

If you hold out for a thousand, you can probably get it, but it might take a while. $800 for quick sale.

Good luck.

Hey Markus, you need a motor for FH1? :D

No I've got a perkie little 20HP in the shed just waiting to be mounted. I'm still trying to get FH1 down here. I may try and pick her up on the way to NS.

ANYONE from Ottawa heading to SW ON that has a ball hitch....give me a shout! I'll treat you to a day of fishing if you can help!

I'm planning on taking her to NS with me on Aug 6th. I'm gonna try to get it before then....or maybe get it down around the 401 and pick it up on the way by.

I wanted to inspect it first though and pick up a spare tire.

If you let Bacon use it for a while, he may trailer it to the 401 for ya on trade. He was looking for a boat as I recall, and would be much cheaper than renting.

Bacon?
