Kilmarnock Launch

Hi all.

I know of the launch at Kilmarnock off of River Road.

If I wanted to fish the other side of the locks (Kilmarnock - Smith falls section), where do I launch the boat?

Hi:
Believe that the best launch is at Edmunds locks betweem Smiths Falls and Jasper. If you drive through Beckwith Street (main drag) through SF, and at Jasper Ave (first street past the locks in SF), turn left and follow the street which will turn into road between SF and Jasper (Lower Reach Park is on the left at this point) Edmunds locks are only a couple of miles out of town on the left side. There is a fee of course as Parks Canada owns the property . Not sure of the price now as I have not been there for a while!!

Your bang on devy. the launch fee is 6.00$ thats for parking too. There is a launch right at KILMARNOCK that goes up but its not made for big boats.
