ummm Hi, my name is Kerrazy... and I am a fishaholic

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Ok I have just gone to a dark place shunned in the free world of this great country of Canada.
So while you guys have justified to yourself buying $600.00 combos, I too have experienced stepping outside my comfort zone and spending 3 and change. I know I was not even on the radar of my darling wife's comfort zone.
Anyhow I digress. The true atrocity I performed tonight involved my children.
As I have mentioned in other posts I have a daughter 5 and a son 7 and anyone with small kids has experienced the annoyance of the new fad of rainbow looms.
Well tonight I got looking at a pattern my son had made. A fish scale as it is called. So I gots me a think in' and designed a pattern for a senco. I gave him the length and told him the colours I wanted and where to place them.
So my fellow fishaholics, I have stooped to child labour to support my habit.
And I gotta say. Here's hopin' it works lol.

Um er uh. Not sure how to mention this diplomatically.
But uh Mav. If I may be so bold to call you that.
This is the Fishaholicsm Interfering with Spousal Harmony, AKA FISH support group.
The Bromance Support group meets over the hard water season on a different forum.

Kerrazy,

Although, I may like to buy Butch a beer or two, whatever it takes to fondle his poles.

you sir are a lightweight. Talk to us (and you guys know who you are (The Maverick, StarTzar, Lape0019, Cdn-Basshunter, Plowjock, BradGuennette, Biggs, and all you other tackleHoes) when you get over 15 combos, and still want more. Talk to us when you take a weekend to organize your tackle and still can't catalogue all of it. Talk to us when you start considering that 600$ for a reel isn't that much because it will go nicely with another NRX/Megabass - name your high end rod here. eh you might have a problem!

If you stop now you may get out alive hehehehe
I'll have you know that I only own one NRX and the only reason I bought it is because it came with a used MGX. :|
That hardly makes me a tacklehoe. :?

You bought a high end rod because it came with a reel?

A TackleHoe would never ever ever ever put a used reel on a brand new NRX.

Kerrazy,

This is a slippery slope and one the wife will not appreciate sooner or later. Be careful as it only takes one combo too many to for her realize what is happening :D

If you stop now you may get out alive hehehehe
And for the record Norm, I only have 7 rods and 8 reels (This relates back to the wife realizing what was bought)... I did sell off a few combos and don't count the ones I have at the cottage because they don't ever make it into my boat (That is a good reason right?)... Oh, And I only bought the Metanium because I thought it would go nicely on a Dobyns Extreme... But it also isn't $600.00

And my tackle box isn't too bad compared to the other people mentioned here when it comes to hardbaits. This will be my first year actually using my boat as a tacklebox. Uh, Okay so maybe I am in Denial...

So maybe I have a small problem too. But it is boards like this that make it worse! Seeing either of the Brad's collections or CND_Basshunter's reel collection alone makes you think "It's not that bad and I could be way worse".

And for the Record Startzar, you are in complete denial... Welcome the name TackleHoe and you will feel a lot better about yourself 8-).

Other ways to find out if you are a Tacklehoe.

1) If Ed knows you by your full name and his eyes light up when you walk through the door at Paddletales, you might be a TackleHoe.

2) If you are at Paddletales 2 or more Thursday nights of the month, You might be a TackleHoe.

3) If your total spent within the walls of paddletales is more that 5 figures (and there are a few), you might be a TackleHoe.

I am sure there are more, but I think that should be enough for some to realize what they are. And I think you should also state, that in order to be a TackleHoe, you must first be a fishaholic.
