Fishing forpike from shore, East Ottawa

Post by Papaclaude »

Hi all, first of all, I'm not looking for honey holes or hot spots. I don't do much summer fishing, and it's almost always for cats, when I do go out. My son and his wife are up for a week, and they'd love to go out and catch some pike. Size don't matter, but it has to be shore fishing. Are there any spots, preferably in the East part of the city, as far as, say, Rockland. If there are any spots in the West, that would be OK. I seem to remember Constance Bay having a lot of pike n the winter. Is there a spot to fish from shore, there?

The bay on the east side of road leading to the Clarence pt. ferry just east of Rockland is a good bet.

The rideau river downtown has alot of average sized pike which are fun for nonstop action. Try billings bridge, brewer park or vincent massey areas to start with.
