Possible Open seat for tonight - filled

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Possible Open seat for tonight - filled

Post by lape0019 »

Hey guys,

I have to wait on two other buddies to confirm they can't make it but I am posting this to allow as much time as possible for someone to think about it.

I am unexpectedly able to fish tonight and will be hitting the water around 5:30 or 6:00 on the Rideau and will be launching out of reevecraig road. I will be out until the sun goes down.

If you are interested in coming out, send me an email at lape0019@hotmail.com and provided that my other two buddies cannot make it, the first one that replies will be in the boat.

Adam

Adam,

Is that boat launch well maintained? Is it gravel only?
We are thinking of going to the Mighty Rideau River on Labour Day and that would be a good place to launch.
I do not drive a truck and my SUV is not 4X4.
The launch needs to be nice for me.
Don't want to get stuck or have to call a tow truck.

It's a gravel ramp but the incline is not bad at all. There is no dock though.

You would be better off using the provincial park ramp on the other side of the river bear Osgoode. The name escaped me but it is. $6.00 to launch, is a concrete ramp that is two wide and has a nice dock.

Come to think of it, I agree...traffic on the water will be horrible.
