Past weekend Rideau river,pike,walleye,bass

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Past weekend Rideau river,pike,walleye,bass

Post by Lvace »

This past weekend on the Rideau was a pretty good bag of tricks here are some of them... Sat night tried for bass but quickly changed over to musky but I ended with this guy, not a musky but a nice size Rideau pike.

Right after him I just start cranking in about 12ft of water around a weed edge to see what I can scare up and I know its a pretty good walleye spot so this guy gets in the boat...

Sunday morning more of the same pike on spinners bass on jigs from 3ft to 7ft of water as i am going along a drop off but the highlight was the biggest walleye that has been in my boat so far. Also it was my buddy that does not get out much at all...9month old at home. He got him in about 4ft of water on a very small spinner jigging up and down between weed pocket. What a nice surprise it was...look there its a bass wait no its a pike.....wait its A WALLEYE :D :D :D :D

Finishing off any day with dusk bass is a good one

Love the Rideau and all it has to offer! We are truly lucky to have both the Ottawa and Rideau!!

Ivace,

Nice report!

Secondly a couple of us are getting together at Taylor park tomorrow night. If you want to come on down, send me an email at lape0019@hotmail.com and I will provide a few details.

Third, I am not sure if you got my PM regarding the Dobyns because my Pm's haven't been working properly. I can give you details for that as well.
