Fishless in Lac-Ste-Marie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

That's a bummer. Seems like you did everything right. Certainly disappointing.I really don't know much about the lake's walleye population but if it was me and I had just bought there I would be making friends with the neighbours on the lake and bringing a bottle of good scotch lol. There are a few members here that are familiar with the lake too I believe. Did you try for bass?

Cheers

Regretting your purchase based on what seems to be a tough weekend fishing for eyes ??? :? :?
I'd understand if it was Bass....but we're talking Walleye!

Put in the time....I'm sure you'll eventually catch them ;)

Do you have any topwater baits?
Like a popper or a walking style bait?

Early in the morning, start by the public ramp, work your way into the small bays close by, fish everything and every where and vary your speed.

Sometimes they want it twitched super slow, other times you can burn it across the surface and they'll hammer it.

Gear really doesn't matter at this point, use what you have and have a blast!!
Have fun!
