First Tiger Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

First Tiger Musky

Post by biggs »

Caught my first tiger musky today by my house.
Not the biggest but not the smallest either. Either way it was a lot of fun and she put my little RattleViper/Alphas combo through a pretty good workout. She hit a Jackall ASKA 60.
Not the greatest pictures but being by myself and not wanting to take her out of the water they were the best I could get. Swam away just as strong as before being caught.

Good looks on the release! Initial thought when she hit the Aska...BIG BASS? lol
Must of been one hell of a bend in the RV.
Any Carbontex washers in the Alphas, was it the 103 or 103 type F?

I was actually able to see it hit the ASKA but otherwise I would have just assumed big bass!

No carbontex washers in it yet but it did hold up nicely.
