8 inch gas auger or 10 inch gas auger???

Have a 10 and have actually needed it for holes that big from 2004 to even last year. But agree, that for this area an 8 is plenty, and much easier to lug around.

I have a 8" Honda 4 stroke and love it. Even on Bark lake catching big pike, lakers and walleye the 8 inch hole was no problem.

Last year the only problem was at the end of the year, a couple of spots I drilled and didn't get to water, the ice was too thick.
