Ice Fishing near Castleford

Post by Farlane94 »

Hey all, my cottage is on the Ottawa River just past Castleford. I would love to ice fish that area like my grandpa used to do 20+ years ago. Just curious if anybody knows the ice conditions in the area. Thanks! :D

It may be thick in some spots. That stretch of the river can have some pretty good current. I wouldn't be venturing to far in your truck

Where / how do you get on the river at Castleford in the winter? Is there public access?
