2015 Ottawa Boat and Sportsman's show.

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

You'll be there for sure ... here is the write up from the site.
You're one of the top notch local personalities ... Someone has to take over when Big Jim retires. (Or will he ever)

I've tried to go for a visit on two occasions but you were out both times. :(
Once for a trip to a warmer place and this past Saturday I saw you were in Bowmanville. 8)

Ouch. Sorry we missed you. I think the warmer place was a tackle show in N Carolina.

Yes, that's it, N Carolina. Warmer there than here I'm sure.
I"ll be there on Saturday. I'm due for a nice easy drive with a nice Cedros Deluxe #3

Howdy y'all. If anyone wants to talk bassin' I will be at the Ottawa Valley South Bassmasters booth from 1 - 5 on Sunday, Feb 22.

I love that they are putting us in a "Fishing Village" this year. Great stuff...

It's looking good so far, really excited for that weekend. Paddletales on Saturday and manning a booth at the boat show on Sunday.

Hope to meet some of you!

I am interested in exploring the field of Boat and motor repair maybe going to school for it. Would the show be a good place for info? I haven't been able to find much on the interwebz and my post on here got 0 answers.

OAO,

I thought about signing up for a shift at the boat show for OVSB but didn't think a newb to the club would be a wise
Person to stick behind the booth. I did however go to the last OBN meeting and that was an eye opener!

Kudos for taking the time to try and recruit some new members and provide info to the people who are looking for it!

FishingFreak,

Other than speaking to some of the marinas, I don't think you will find too much info on the field of boat or motor repair at the boat show.

Honestly,

From what I have heard, the organizers are trying to take a little of the "boat show" mentality back out of it and make it more of a sportman's show. I think I have heard they added an additional 4 fishing clubs and like in the original post, I know at least one other tackle shop other than Ozilies will be there this year.

I am looking forward to seeing how this plays out. If anything, it is a step in the right direction.
