WALLEYE MAP for Quinte EAST

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

WALLEYE MAP for Quinte EAST

Post by water-werx.ca »

- Here's another map I would like to share to help others... it's of Bay of Quinte EAST that I have kept and marked over the years

- Although our local area of the St Lawrence holds some monster 'eyes' and I'm far more familiar with local fish population locations, by NUMBERS Quinte still remains a favorite location for landing a fish of a lifetime

Again like the other map provided yesterday, the highlighted areas are locations that I have fished, as well as areas that are known to provide success. There are other locations provided to me through friends who are guides but out of respect for their livelihood those areas are left OFF this map
- 1 thing I will say about Quinte is it's very HIT or MISS , for every 1 day you can have success you may spend 10 days skunked, however keying in on these areas shown on the map should help your success :)
As well the ice in areas can be very dangerous so please use caution when ice fishing - best to keep an eye on the forums for ice conditions before venturing out

We have found the Best times are from first ice to 1st week in Feb, and last week in Feb just before the season closes

If anyone needs a copy of the map or has questions, they can message me 613 349 6459

Appreciate everyone's positive contributions to the forum, like you, I am forever learning so thanks for sharing!

Best of Luck Fishing!
& remember "Breeder's aren't Eaters" - unless they're slimey old pike ;)

Cheers
Spenc

Here are an assortment of WALLEYE jigs, spoons and lipless crankbaits that have provided success

and I cannot stress enough how valuable a good FLASHER is - We run a Markum LX7 ( thanks Shaun @ Bennett's Bait and Tackle ) and it's worth its weight in gold!
