Reserve Faunique de Papineau Labelle

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Reserve Faunique de Papineau Labelle

Post by EagleEyesFlash »

Pondering whether to give Papineau Labelle a try for specks or even
maybe land lock salmon this May.
Willing to pay if the fishing is good and seems like it would be a wicked adventure.
Lots of info on the web site now.

There's even stats. on what fish were caught from each lake from previous years.
Think they rotate what lakes are open each year and am a bit confused by the rates
to day fish or camp a night or two.
Daily fishing w/boat 1 person $60
2 person $78...

Daily right of access $17.95...
Anyhow thinking of giving it a try, I'll be kayak fishing and may form a group outing.
Anyone want to share their experience in Papineau Labelle or want to come along ?

I've done a fair bit of fishing in Papineau Labelle, although I don't fish there anymore. The brook trout fishing is excellent, but I've found fishing just as good and better outside the park in Quebec and in Upstate New York. IMO it's not worth the price. It's more of a Brook Trout are than it is a lake trout area, most lakers are quite small.
