Carp's Valley Fishing Show 2015

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Carp's Valley Fishing Show 2015

Post by ELLIS »

Has anyone heard through the grapevine what fishing shops will be at the Carp show this year. I have missed the last three years. Will be going this year. Hoping to find some "must have" lures not found locally.

Paddletales will NOT be there. My days of hauling the store to a show are behind me thankfully.

If Paddletales, Bennetts Bait!n Tackle and Bits and Baits aren't attending; who's left?

Not really sure what vendors are there, but usually a few good ones.
http://protacklemuskyshop.com/musky-homepage-c20.php ... these guys are usually there with a good selection.

Not too many local shops are there. I think that speaks volumes that our area keeps our local shops busy enough, :D I am guessing by the responses.

I haven't been for a few years. It seems more and more of the tackle shops aren't attending. I put the money saved in gas towards the bass seminar Ed is putting on in April this year.

I'm sure there are lots of people that still find this interesting but for me, there isnt a whole lot of bass stuff there anymore. At least, not enough for me to spend the time and money getting there. Maybe I'll try heading out that way again one year, but it won't be this year...

Birdee and I plan to pop in Friday night. It's usually the first sign of Spring. This year I'll be surely ice fishing after the show. Dumb.

Since many of the main stops have pulled out of the shows, I have not attended in a few years but plan to do the rounds this year in Carp. It's tough deciding weather to go fishing, shed hunting or hit the show. Its a busy time of month. Always end up going to Bits and baits after the show anyways lol.

One great thing about Carp is that it can be a great spot to fill the tackle bag with panfish gear if that excites you. Picked up 20 packs of micro tubes last time at $1 a pack!! Some great stuff if ya pick through the bins and hustle a bit.

I mostly go to the Carp show to listen to the sweet sound of turkey calls.
