Hi Guys
When fishing in a Zec in Quebec - do I need to get a regular fishing licence on top of the zec fishing licences?
Just wondering?
thanks
Paul
Fishing in a Zec
Sam, you need a provincial license for any fishing in Quebec. The Zec applies an additional fee for specifically fishing their exclusive and managed waters.
There are also other conditional charges on some waters that go towards a fund to improve the fishery, for example the Gouin Reservoir has a surcharge of $5 / day that is applied to their management program. The Baskatong Reservoir has a similar charge.
All the Provincial Parks have additional fees for fishing as well as camping.
