Decent little brookie outting

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Is this lake accessible by truck... Or atv access only? I've gone kayak fishing for brookies in lanark County a few times but I've always had problems trying to find out whether certain lakes are truck vs atv access... I did end up finding a nice lake which is truck access; however, the brookies are numerous, they are all quite small.

It's within 3 hours of Ottawa, not in QC and its on a stocking list that's basically as transparent as I'm being on this one.

Definitely had to haul our yaks for a good distance but that fish made it all worthwhile.

What a start to the season. Next stop, the Park!

80% of lakes in that area are atv access only.

Nice speck fella! Always nice to land the first one of the spring.

Cheers!

I should mention that this is by far the biggest Speck I've ever caught--I don't want anyone to be under the impression that I know what I'm doing. 8)
