Another BEAUTY Walleye opener and a BEAST!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Another beauty walleye opener on the St Lawrence with good buds, good fish and good eats!

Fish were caught in 20-30ft on jigs and plastics and a few came on the troll with deep cranks.

Plenty of good eaters caught and a few dandies but this early morning 13.7lb BEAST took the cake!

All biggins were released to fight another day 8)

Beauty day it was J! The pic of "Bears" Walleye just doesn't do it justice the girth of it was  I thought before he placed it in the bag it was going to be in the high 14's -15. Half of her eggs were gone. A great fish for a great guy!

Good to see guys enjoying a GREAT Day on the water! As per usual it was a "Zoo" on Saturday(100 or so boats in compact area)but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.Unfortunately for most it was a slow day.(Remember ALL those huge "Hens" dripping eggs over last 3 years you kept guys) It will take another couple years for population to recover if ever.Thank you Ogdensburgh sports society for keeping up your program of introducing Walleye to area OR we'd all be Pike fishing OR waiting for Bass Opening in this area!!Have Fun out there,Be Safe!!

Nice haul fellas! And a beast at the end. If that pic doesn't do it justice, then it truly was a monster.

Thanks fellers! With water temps still hovering below 50°F the bite will be solid for a bit yet.

I know you're not referring to my group as we prefer not to keep the egg drippers when we can fill the box with sperm shooters. But many big girls do get sliced and diced, sad but true with the late springs we've been having lately. But still plenty of fish around, big and small. I think the late springs just throw a lot of guys for a loop, fish aren't always going to be stacked where you expect them from year to year.
