Looking for Gatineau River Catfish around Kirk's Ferry

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I think that around where my cottage is there isn't much. We practically have to go up river towards those rapids or down river towards lac ste marie.
Sturgeon are broadcast spawners and need to be at the top of rapids to spawn.

**In case anyone from the ON side is reading this and wondering.. it is completely legal in QC to catch sturgeon in season. Not likely to catch them on "La troll" nor do they taste like poutine, so not endangered here... unlike the Potato Salmon and Cheese Curd Carp, not to mention the now completely extinct Beef Gravy Gar..... The More You Know**

Kazabazoo as we used to call it. Some of the most beautiful lakes all around that Place.
Sure do miss the Longest Bar. I remember my Father bringing me in there to see the Aquarium Bar.
I must have been 8 or 9 years old. We were on our way to go visit some aunt in Gracefield and fishing in Bouchette.

Later on in life, I frequented the longest Bar ... but it was'nt necessarily to see the Aquarium.

Wet charogne?

That is now found at a dépaneur in Messine. Ontario plates will dry it right up though!
