Great night fishing in Pakenham - lots of small to mid sized Small Mouth bass caught in the seams below the falls.
Checked out the boat launch - looked to be in great condition for a primitive launch - no large boulders (just a few small bumps!)
Water level is a bit low but seems to have rebounded the last week or so ... maybe the rain, maybe they are letting more water out of Clayton and the Mississippi. (typical august levels atm)
Went out about 4 feet down the launch and the water was deep enough to float safely, about 3 feet deep.
Should be no problem at all for those wanting to get out on sheltered water.
/cheers
