Just got back from spending 10 days at the cottage on Lac-Ste-Marie ,the fishing was very poor for me .I notice on my sonar that the fish seems to be in 30 fow.
I did try bottom bouncer with a worm harness spinners and some jigging with a 3/8 ounces. I even try a few days on the river,i even saw your Holly Marie Statue,
Bass addict ,a couple of small ones there but no keepers .My question is if I want to do some deep crankbait trolling ,how do I get the crankbait 30 feet deep without a
downrigger ,what kind of fishing line would I use to make sure it doesn' t twist. Any advise would be appreciate...Wally

Another option would be lead core.

I have researched but never tried it but the recommendation tends to be about 10 to 30 ft depending on how clear and line shy the fish are.
