July 15th fun fish - Taylor Park

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

July 15th fun fish - Taylor Park

Post by lape0019 »

Hey gang,

I'm a day late at posting this but between the drive to Toronto and the Foo Fighters concert last night, I didn't have much time.

As stated, we are looking to put on another fun fish at Taylor park. The last one was a success and I hope to see as many faces as possible at this one as well.

One difference is my normal fishing partner cannot make it so I have an open seat. If you can make to to Taylor Park on Wednesday July 15th and are a non boater, PM me and I'll post when the seat is filled.

Hope to see you all out again!

Please post here if you plan on attending.

As of right now myself and a buddy will be there. Question though. Is this area close to where the ms bassin tourney is being held?? I need to get an idea of the area so we can make sure we fish some good spots come aug 15th.

It's close enough Pete. Take a look at some maps. MS Bassin is out of Pirate cove and Taylor park is on the other side of James Island around the bend.

We’re only kidding, we know where Shawn’s kicker got caught last time out.
We wouldn’t even be fishing that area if we were to blast off first…or would we?

What is a respectable distance to be fishing next to another boat? hahahaaa ;)

For me I think as long as rod tips dont cross you are at an acceptable distance. I always remember Ghost Busters and them saying dont cross the streams...Same goes for rod tips!

Depends... I wouldn't get too close to you guys, GrandPa Dufour showed me just how far he can cast "effortlessly" ...
Can't forget that story you told us about some treble hooks logged in you head?

Well just so everyone knows that is my plan for the 15th. Follow all you folk who know the river so I can get an edge for the MS Bassin. So if you see me off your bow dont get upset just let me see what you are using and I will be just fine!!
