Bark lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Bark lake

Post by Big R »

Going up to bark lake this weekend... Don't know anything about the lake, found a place to launch on the northeast side. Besides the boat launch, I know nothing about the lake!! If anyone has any tips or locations for a little walley bass and lake trout fishing, it would go a long way!! Some help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

There have been a few threads over the years. Do a search and you should get some ideas.
I think the better walleye fishing is in the north end where the Opeongo comes in to the lake. Some of the bays and around the islands should get you some bass action. As for Lakers, find deep water and structure and you should be good. Good luck with it.

I have a family cottage in the Barry's bay area....a week ago I was catching lake trout in 45-65 FOW trolling with lead core and a rapala early morning and then again evening until near dark..had success on kamaniskeg lake and the smaller cottage lake ... I didn't fish bark lake but it wouldn't surprise me if you found Lakers in the same depth.

Nice fish. Glad it worked out for you all. First time I've seen a lucky horseshoe mounted in a boat.
You may want to try using photobucket for posting pics. Works well.

Go to photobucket.com and sign up. Upload your pics. Click on the thumbnail of your pic to show it full size. Left click on the img box and it will say copied. Go to your post, right click and paste. Voila.
Here's what I mean.
