Not here they don't. Unfortunately they are a very destructive invasive species and returning them to water alive is a no no.

Well the biggest one i've seen was about 14" long and attached to a 20lb carp... they leave a pretty nasty wound to the side of the fish too. I'd agree with marcus they shouldn't be returned alive i'd have to check to see if they are classed by the mnr as an invading species.
