Mississippi

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Post by fishing_phase2 »

Just looking for a little info on the Mississippi . Was thinking of headed out that way early tomorrow morn. Launching from Carleton place right by the high school. Any general advice is appreciated.

Have a great day.

You don't need info for that lake, plenty of Bass, Pike and pan fish to be had.

You can't go wrong loll

Like Shawn said it is a lake with very little effort needed to catch fish. Walleye may be a bit more finicky but really if it is a hump, bump, bowl or bed it all works out well. Far end of the lake from the highschool has been doing really well as of late but you cant go wrong in the narrows, or bays close to the high school launch.
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....
It's much more important.

Me and a fishing buddy launched near the restaurant down Lake Park Rd a few years back and headed south. Had a great time. Fish everywhere. Never fished the zone you are targeting though. Let us know how you did.
