Kawartha Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Kawartha Report

Post by Hank Jr »

My son and I fished Balsam and Sturgeon for 3 days each for Muskies last week . We had a pretty good week 6 Pike and 10 Muskies also had 15 follows and another 12 hits or hooked fish . Only 3 over 40" but we saw 6 or 7 other real nice ones during the week Water temps were 56 -58 and the weeds were still pretty healthy but some were dying off . All fish came casting we usually only troll to eat or give me a break from casting . I had a triple bypass the end of May not sure if I would be able to fish all week for Muskies but I did OK little sore and tired after 8 or 9 hrs a day throwing big lures but it was worth it . Here are a couple of my son's fish the Tiger came from Balsam .

You know what they say, "Muskies are the best medicine"....ok nobody says that but you're proving it!

Great job getting out there and getting on 'em.
