First Muskie

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

First Muskie

Post by howie »

Took a vacation day for one last fishing outing before tucking the boat in for the winter. Had a few long days trying for Muskie without any luck so what a thrill it was to land this 50" beast on the Ottawa.

Thanks for the encouraging comments gents. Yeah - I'm hooked! Can now claim to be a muskie hunter. What a thrill to say the least. I'd pretty much started to get discouraged. Sure a lot of casts and trolling miles before getting a chance to finally have a look at one of these beasts! What a way to end the season. Drag to put the boat away this weekend. Just no time with the kids hockey season upon us. So it goes!
